Description
This position serves as a key link between commercial teams, Risk Management, and external market participants. The role provides regional position and risk visibility across MENA and APAC, supports effective hedging and execution processes, and ensures adherence to established risk controls and governance. It monitors commodity market exposures across EEX and SGX, translates physical trading risks into actionable hedging requirements, and delivers timely market and risk support to regional traders and leadership.
Role & Responsibilities
Provide reliable MENA/APAC position visibility during Dubai and Singapore business hours, with specific monitoring of EEX and SGX exposures.
Help regional traders convert physical risk into complete, well-supported hedge requests and timely management decisions.
Reduce overnight information gaps through structured Dubai-to-US and Singapore-to-Dubai handoffs, clear escalation, and documented follow-up.
Build consistent exchange, position, settlement, and reporting processes that can scale as regional activity grows.
Maintain daily regional position views for Middle East and Asia-Pacific trading activity, including physical purchases, sales, inventory, pricing status, and approved hedges.
Monitor EEX and SGX dairy futures, forward curves, spreads, liquidity, settlement data, and relevant physical-market indicators.
Assist traders with exposure identification, hedge sizing support, scenario analysis, and preparation of hedge requests.
Coordinate required documentation and approvals with commercial leadership, US team Risk Management, and other authorized parties before any execution activity.
Support trade execution, confirmation, allocation, and post-trade activities within authorized limits and procedures; otherwise, coordinate with the designated execution team.
Track hedge requests, approvals, executions, confirmations, settlements, roll decisions, and exceptions, escalating time-sensitive or out-of-limit items.
Reconcile trading positions with Finance records, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate timely resolution with responsible teams.
Provide clear regional market and position commentary to traders and leadership, separating market observations from recommendations and approvals.
Coordinate EEX and SGX exposures, local market developments, customer pricing needs, and workflow priorities with relevant teams.
Manage the Company-to-US handoff, highlighting material position changes, market movements, pending decisions, and required Americas follow-up.
Provide backup EEX and SGX monitoring during holidays, absences, and major market events.
Maintain regional procedures, controls, approval paths, contact lists, and business-continuity processes for derivatives and position management.
Collaborate with Trading, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Legal/Compliance, Data/Technology, Risk Management, and senior leadership to support effective regional operations.
Engage, as authorized, with brokers, exchanges, market-data providers, counterparties, and relevant industry participants.
Maintain strict confidentiality of trading positions, pricing, customer, counterparty, and strategic information.
Educate physical traders on derivatives, hedging concepts, and their application in managing commercial exposures and supporting trade.
Support physical traders during in-market customer visits to provide market, pricing, and risk-management expertise and help facilitate commercial opportunities.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required to support the business.
