Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMRs) and other medical software.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple patients with varying degrees of severity.

Education & Qualifications:

• MBBS/Bachelor in Medicine
• DOH eligibility/license
• 2-3 years of work experience as a General Practitioner, experience in Longcare, ICU preferred

Description
Responsible for evaluating and managing patients in Long-Term Care and ICU settings, conducting ward rounds, developing treatment plans, and coordinating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess newly referred patients, review medical histories, conduct examinations, and evaluate diagnostic results.
• Manage critically ill, medically complex, and long-term care patients.
• Conduct regular ward rounds and monitor patients’ clinical progress.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment and care plans as required.
• Provide basic and advanced airway management and emergency stabilization when necessary.
• Recognize deterioration and coordinate appropriate escalation or transfer of care.
• Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, progress, and prognosis with patients and families.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide clinical guidance to junior staff.
• Ensure accurate medical documentation and compliance with DoH and hospital standards.
• Maintain professional knowledge through continuous education and training.
