Accounts Manager

Our client is a UAE registered, independent ship owning and management company operating small to mid sized oil and chemical tankers. The fleet transports sensitive cargo such as edible oils, bulk chemicals and clean petroleum products under strict hygiene standards. With strong technical and commercial expertise, it delivers safe, reliable maritime solutions across key Gulf and Indian Ocean trade routes, working closely with charterers and cargo owners.

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience with Alamein system
• CMA certification
• Minimum 7 years' progressive accounting experience; 5 years in UAE
• Marine or shipping industry experience
• DipIFR (ACCA Diploma in IFR)
• English and Arabic proficiencyis a must

Description
In this role, you will lead and oversee the full accounting function within a fast-paced marine organization. You will ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while building structured systems that support sustainable growth.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring performance, accountability, and cohesion
• Establish and enforce clear financial processes and internal controls
• Oversee daily financial transactions, approvals, and payments in line with company policy
• Prepare and present detailed financial and annual reports to senior management (CEO/MD)
• Manage relationships with UAE banks, including documentation for loans and financial facilities
• Implement and optimize accounting systems and financial technologies
• Ensure all financial records are organized, audit-ready, and fully compliant
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommend cost optimization initiatives
• Serve as the main point of contact for all accounting-related matters
