Medical Coder – UAE National Only – Abu Dhabi

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical procedures. 
• Proficient in using coding software and health information management tools. 
• High attention to detail, ensuring that codes are assigned accurately and completely. 
• Excellent communication skills, particularly when liaising with healthcare providers, billing teams, and insurance companies. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively to meet deadlines.

Education & Qualifications: 

• Diploma in Medical Field 
• Certificate in Medical Coding
• preferably 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably in Abu Dhabi market
• Proven experience in medical coding, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting. 

Description
In this role, you will be responsible for assigning standardized codes to various medical diagnoses, procedures, and treatments based on medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that coding practices align with national and international coding standards, facilitating proper billing, insurance claims, and medical recordkeeping.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze patient medical records to extract diagnoses, procedures, and treatments.
• Assign appropriate codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments
• Ensure timely billing of medical claims by accurately applying appropriate codes to reflect diagnoses, procedures, and services rendered.
